Emergency First Aid/Trauma Fundamentals — Pistol First Steps — Countering the Mass Shooter Threat — and Private Training Sessions

Emergency First Aid/Trauma Fundamentals

This class will teach valuable skills, helping prepare students to deal with severe life-threatening injuries or illnesses when seconds count, and EMS personnel and emergency room are minutes (or longer) away. Whether from an accident or illness, active killer event, hostage situation, bombing or terrorist scenario, learning to quickly assess a patient and handle significant issues such as serious bleeding, chest injuries, a compromised airway, broken bones, and more can buy time and save your life or the lives of others. Each student will receive a trauma care manual. Discussion will also include how to build your own pocket trauma kit and suggestions for other supplies that could be easily obtained and kept on-hand. $75 (2-2.5 hours)

Prerequisite: None

Dates: See all our class sessions when you sign up online. Of course, we also love it when people call or stop in. See you soon!

Pistol First Shots

This new shooter orientation class introduces basic pistol safety and functioning, key fundamentals for shooting well and small-group live-fire range time to put what you’ve learned into practice. Appropriate for all new shooters as well as youth. $44 (3-hr)

Prerequisite: None

Required Equipment: Students will need hearing and eye protection, and approximately 50 rounds of ammunition. We realize new shooters may not know which calibers they want to shoot, so we set aside time for students to purchase what they need after we have discussed pistol actions and calibers but before heading to the range.

Do I Need My Own Firearm?: No, but you may. If you own a pistol, we encourage you to bring it so you can practice with what you already own. If you do not have a firearm or if you simply want to try some different models, you may use ours at no cost during the class.

Dates: See all our class sessions when you sign up online. Of course, we also love it when people call or stop in. See you soon!

Countering the Mass Shooter Threat

This seminar covers knowledge and tactics to thwart active shooters in public spaces, businesses, schools and places of worship. Find out what has been learned from an in-depth analysis of 165 Active Shooter events since Columbine. You will be given a clear snapshot of these events and specific information to help you prepare to counter and survive an active shooter event. We will address many important topics, which include but are not limited to: gun-free zones and victim responses that make a difference; knowing the signs and creating an emergency plan; and learning specific how-to's so that you are not an easy victim.

Prerequisite: None

Required Equipment: None. You will receive a Countering the Mass Shooter Threat handbook as part of this class.

Dates: See all our class sessions when you sign up online. Of course, we also love it when people call or stop in. See you soon!

Verbal Threat De-Escalation

This seminar keys in on industry best practices for verbal and nonverbal threat de-escalation so you will know how to assess and diffuse potentially dangerous situations, promoting thoughtful resolution to potentially violent and/or disruptive behavior; minimizing the likelihood of the need to use force; and increasing voluntary compliance.

Gain control of situations and return to a pre-crisis state as quickly as possible.

Prerequisites & Needed Equipment: None

Rescheduling? Classes may be rescheduled one time up to 72 hours prior to the course start time. Cancellations within 72 hours of the start time are no longer eligible to be rescheduled and are forfeited. Thank you for understanding that our class spots are limited and valuable.

A note about winter classes: Thankfully, we have never had to postpone or reschedule a CCW class due to weather. We know our customers have gone out of their way to rearrange schedules, ask off work, etc. to take their CCW classes on specific days. We respect that and are super happy you chose 22three. We want to honor your time and will run CCW classes as scheduled unless there is a Level 3 snow emergency.

Again, thank you for choosing 22three for your training needs. We look forward to seeing you.
